aetano Pesce’s exhibition, was commissioned by a private collector, who wanted us to curate and design an exhibition to promote Pesce’s work in Shanghai. She was a fan and collaborator of Pesce for many years, our aim was to create two separate exhibition spaces, that connected Pesce’s world for the modern day collector. The main room inside was a monochromatic neon green, using metal poles to create shelving and neon green plinths to display Pesce’s art works. The outside space, surrounded a 150 year old magnolia tree, which sits in the private front yard of BLOOP BLOOP studio + gallery space, we built a semi-covered room outside using bright red PVC panels (reflecting the iconic resin material used Pesce’s work), plastic board and metal poles to create a exterior facade to hold additional works by Pesce.
